I work with GCSE English students studying with both the AQA and EDEXCEL syllabus. I also provide language tuition for adult learners, including TEFL and IELTS.

Over that last twenty years I have taught in schools, as well as privately. I am deeply enthusiastic about English Literature and seek to share that with my students.

My first degree from the University of London is in English Literature and my second postgraduate degree is a combination of English Literature and History. I have extensive knowledge of all the main texts which students will study for GCSE English, especially Shakespeare and the nineteenth century texts, including Dickens, Austen and Bronte. I have knowledge of all set texts covering twentieth century drama, poetry and the novel.

I believe every student has great potential to improve. In my lessons I focus on all areas of improvement, tailoring lessons to the specific requirements of individual students.

Availability: I am available every day from 8am to 8pm and on weekends.

Experience: I have taught GCSE English privately and in school with excellent results. All my students reported to me that I helped them boost their grades and achieve their goals.

I am not a teacher with expertise in SEN, nor do I work with students with an EHCP, or those who require specific adjustments.
