Katherine

I am a confident and experienced violin teacher, currently in my fourth year studying at trinity conservatoire. I started learning the violin at the age of 7 at the north London conservatoire, where I later spent two year working as an orchestral teaching assistant for the younger children and discovered my love for teaching. During my studies I have several modules in instrumental teaching in which I have learnt so much about teaching children in a holistic and well-rounded way. I have also visited primary schools around Greenwich and Lewisham, where I conducted music workshops and assemblies for the students there.

I believe that learning an instrument is a gift one carries for life, and that it is never too early or too late to start. I aim to make my lessons fun and engaging, yet I am driven to help my students reach the highest of standards. My students are always my number one priority, and i will give them everything i can to help them succeed.

I am happy to teach people of any age and ability, and will tailor my lessons to the individual. I can teach both ABRSM and Trinity to grade 8 standard.

I also teach GCSE music which I adore!

Availability: I am available Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings, and most times during the weekends

Willing to travel: Home Only

Experience: I have experience teaching privately for 5 years, with my pupils regularly achieving distinction in graded exams, and winning prizes in the North London music festival.
I have also worked in the North London Conservatoire for two years in the training and junior orchestras.
