Information about David
NOTE: I am currently residing in Amsterdam and therefore am not taking clients at present. I will return in October.
I am a fourth year Design Engineering (MEng) student at Imperial College London, following achieving A*A*A at A Level (Mathematics, Art and Design, Physics respectively) and a Distinction in my Art and Design Foundation Course at Kingston University.
My confidence in both technical Science and creative Design, means I approach learning from a creative and logical angle - I can explain concepts visually, verbally and through analogy.
I am a friendly, dedicated character who is always willing to clarify what may seem impossible. I am keen to target the best strategies of teaching different students.
Having recently left Sixth Form and applied through UCAS twice for a range of engineering courses, I am attuned to the demands and process of the application and am enthusiastic to share my experience and knowledge of interviews and other parts of the application.
I am aspiring to follow a career as a Design Engineer, where I would be able to combine my creative persona with my passion and ability in engineering.

Experience: I have 5 years experience tutoring privately at GCSE and A Level.
I also volunteered weekly at the Mathematics support group at my Secondary School for 2 years (prior to tutoring privately) - I helped younger years with their own Mathematics.
I have supported younger years in my old School in areas other than Mathematics - being a mentor during my first year of Sixth Form, I aided young pupils adapt themselves into the new Secondary School life.

I would definitely recommend David as a tutor, I was struggling in maths at the beginning of year 11 and having him helped me a lot as his way of teaching is very clear and focused. David is easy to get on with, understanding, and will explain things over and over again if needed. His method of teaching is unique and different, which I believe is important as it helps to have alternative methods, especially in maths. David is reliable, punctual and friendly, and a great maths tutor.

I would thoroughly recommend David as a tutor. He tutored my son for 3 months revision on the run up to his A level physics exams. It was a late engagement, but David was extremely flexible and we managed to work round his existing tutoring and academic commitments. As a tutor David is very knowledgeable and organised. He is close to my son in age and they achieved a good teaching rapport in a very short space of time, greatly improving my son`s confidence in his abilities as David has a relaxed (but focused) co-operative teaching style. David quickly identified areas where my son needed help, they agreed a programme of revision, he was available to answer questions between sessions and David strove to ensure that each topic was fully understood before moving to a new one. David was always punctual and very polite and I wish him well in his future endeavours and thank him for his help.

David tutored my son in GCSE Physics for 9 months from the start of Year 11 through to the exams. During that time he enabled my son to progress from a B grade prediction to achieving A* regularly on practice papers. He is an excellent tutor, very well organised, always punctual and reliable, prepared thoroughly for all the classes. And he is very skilled at communicating and explaining the required concepts. I wouldn`t hesitate to recommend his as a tutor.
