Hello, I`m Ben. I`m a qualified Maths teacher living in London. I graduated from the University of Warwick with a first in Mathematics where I took a specialist module on `Reinventing Education` looking at the most effective methods of teaching students of all ages. I then graduated from the University of Manchester with a PCGE in Secondary Mathematics.

Over my 7 years tutoring and teaching I have committed to continous personal professional development and have undertaken a number of courses to develop my teaching skill set. Mostly recently I undertook the Teaching Further Mathematics (TFM) professional development course. Where I learned best practice for helping students succeed in AS/A level Further Mathematics. I also undertook a qualification from AMSP in `Preparing students for the MAT and the TMUA` (Mathematics Admissions Test / The Test of Mathematics for University Admission).

I love teaching maths and am a passionate and considerate teacher. I have particular tutoring experience in helping students prepare for admissions tests to study Mathematics at prestigious universities. I have tutored students who went on to sucessfully sit the STEP (Sixth Term Examination Paper) which is used by the University of Cambridge and the University of Warwick and the MAT used by the University of Oxford. I have experience tutoring adults preparing for assessment centres including for the Civil Service Fast Stream.

I am currently teaching in a SEN setting and have particular skills in patient, student-centred practice.

During these times I am currently tutoring from home via Zoom, Teams, or Skype. If the situation allows in the future I may be able to travel or accept students in my home. Send me a message and we can discuss.
