I am a Business Management student but I achieved an A* in English Literature at A Level. Most of my academic studies have been around humanities subjects so I am well-versed in essay writing, however my main field of expertise is English.

I firmly believe that the best way to learn is to experience and do things for yourself while being gently guided, as opposed to simply being told the answers. In my opinion this creates a certain level of independence, which is particularly important for students as it helps build a foundation that they can use to further themselves in English and elsewhere.

I also understand that some students may need to be taught in different ways, some require a more hands on approach. However, the same principle applies- I aim to teach them in a manner which will leave them self-assured and confident in their work.
