I am a History graduate (MA Hons) of The University of Edinburgh, and a professional writer for stage and screen. I`m committed to tailoring my tutoring sessions to students` needs and to providing a friendly, calm and rewarding learning environment.

Experience: I have extensive experience working with students of all ages, from degree students focussing on essay and study skills, to younger learners studying for specific exams or looking for support with particular subjects. I offer tutoring in a range of subjects and skills, which I have listed below. I am fully DBS checked and am more than happy to tailor any session to your learning style and needs!
*Essay Skills*
I can offer intensive sessions on essay technique for most essay-based subjects, and am happy to work with students of any age up to degree level. How to write and structure a good essay is a skill that is important to perfect, but often overlooked or completely untaught in schools and universities. I received a 1st for the dissertation I produced while studying History at The University of Edinburgh and now work as a professional writer for stage and screen, and can help you learn the tools needed for a well-written essay.
*Entrance Exams*
I offer tutoring for school admission exams up to age 14, including in most core subjects up to Key Stage 3 (Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English, Geography, History, Religious Studies and Latin), study skills, verbal reasoning and interview technique. I had to intensively tutor myself for my own school entrance exams, and, as a successful scholarship candidate to a top school, understand both the stress of this process and what needs to be done in order to maximise your chances.
*History*
I can give specific sessions on a range of Modern Historical periods, as well as some Early Modern and Classical topics, and am happy to work with students of any age up to degree level as well as independent adult learners. Please contact me to discuss your particular interests.
