Mariam

Hello! My name is Mariam and I have recently graduated with a Master`s degree in Contemporary Literature from King`s College London, where I also attained my undergraduate degree in English. My A Levels include A*AA grades in Spanish, English Literature and French respectively from the South London grammar school, Wallington High School for Girls. Whilst studying at Old Palace of John Whitgift School, I obtained 7 A* / A grades at GCSE in Maths, English Literature, French, Spanish, Geography, Art and Religious Studies.

I have plenty of experience with tuition as I have worked with the company First Class Learning in 2016 and Hallmark Tuition in 2018. I have also prepared children for 11+ exams and most recently I have helped three students pass entrance exams for their first choice schools, which were Wilson`s, Wallington High School for Girls and Whitgift School. I am also able to prepare students for both written and spoken exams (for French and Spanish).

For me, tutoring is more than just a part-time job. I intend on becoming a full time teacher in a secondary school after graduating and finishing my PGCE qualification next year. I genuinely enjoy interacting with students and providing them with the support they need to succeed. I am more than just a tutor, I am also a friend in which a student can confide in and lean on with all their study and non study related problems. My goal is to push the students I undertake to reach their full potential in their studies as well as in all other aspects of their life!

Experience: I have plenty of experience with tuition as I have worked for First Class Learning since February 2016. At First Class Learning, I have regularly helped children from the age of 4 up to the age of 18.
Before this job, I had been tutoring Maths and English privately as well as preparing three students for 11+ exams, two of whom passed grammar school exams and the other gaining a place at a prestigious private school.

In summary, I believe that with all my experience as a student at top schools and as a tutor for First Class Learning, I can successfully provide students with the help and guidance needed to reach their full potential!
