I studied for a BSc Honours Degree in Pharmaceutical Science at Kingston University, followed by a MSc Neuroscience (Epilepsy) Masters degree at Kings College London, before concluding my initial teacher training at Goldsmith University (PGCE in Secondary Science with QTS). All three of these courses have not only furthered my knowledge academically, but also cemented my love for the education system, along with my passion to teach and help all children make outstanding progress.

I am mindful that the needs of students vary greatly, from those who are Gifted and Talented requiring constant, but not over-demanding challenges, to those who may need one-on-one support, to those with English as an additional language. I pride myself on offering individualised, differentiated teaching whenever possible to ensure an inclusive environment. I strive to ensure that through effective scaffolding and differentiation everything covered in my lessons is achievable to every student, whilst continuing to challenge and stretch higher-ability students with extension tasks.

My experience as a classroom teacher means I am able to engage and interest students in learning. In my current school, the students are well aware of the expectations I have, they are also aware of why I have such high expectations – so that they can make maximum progress.
