I am 27 with 2:1 degree in Philosophy and Classical Studies from the University of Reading, having gained A levels in Philosophy of Religion (A), Sociology (A), English Literature (A) and Classical Civilisation (B).

I am a patient and flexible tutor. I know students have different needs and will tailor my lessons to fit those needs. I also think it`s important for students to be interested in the subjects they`re studying and so will find ways of engaging them. I have a deep interest in ideas and I am very enthusiastic about sharing this and helping others to understand ideas and convey their understanding through well written essays and compelling arguments.

I also know sometimes very intelligent students do less well than they should in exams and other assessments simply because they haven`t learnt the right essay writing, exam or revision techniques. I will make sure students are prepared for any exams they sit.

Experience: I have experience as a tutor at Primary level in English, GCSE level in English Language and Literature, History and Religious Studies, at A level in English Literature, Sociology, Film Studies and Media Studies, and with adult learners in English conversation.

I also have experience working as a volunteer in a Primary school, helping children with their reading.
