Hi, I’m Elizabeth. I currently work as a teaching assistant at Hill Mead Primary School in Brixton so have lots of time on my hands over the summer holidays and would love to help someone with their learning skills before it’s time to start a new academic year (and potentially support them longer). As someone who had many 1:1 tutors throughout my time at school and university, I know how it feels to be on the other side of the table which has given me the ability to know what it is that students need to feel comfortable and supported when learning with a personal tutor. I pride myself on my ability to adapt my teaching skills and lesson plan to fit the pupil and make the session a positive learning experience.

Availability: 22nd July - 1st September - FULL AVAILABILITY

Experience: I have worked as a Teaching Assistant in a range of London schools including Phoenix SEN School, Haringey Tuition Centre, Samuel Rhodes Secondary School, Highfield Primary School and Hill Mead Primary School. Throughout my time as a TA I have tutored a range of different subjects and year groups, from GCSE to Year 2. In my current job I run small intervention groups / 1:1 sessions for pupils who need a little bit more adult support mainly in English and Maths as well as Speech and Language skills and Social/Emotional Support. I am highly experienced in adapting to the individual needs and likes of the pupils I work with.
