Molly

I am a recent graduate of the University of Portsmouth, where I gained a first class degree in Biomedical Science. My favourite subject from my degree was Blood Transfusion and I now work as an Associate Practitioner for the Welsh Blood Service. I am also learning French in my spare time and hoping to become fluent in the future.
I am a good listener and can use my excellent communication skills to articulate difficult concepts easily to others. I understand the importance of tailored support for students which can have a huge impact on confidence and academic performance.
My passion for science also covers science education and making science more accessible to everyone, I volunteer as a STEM ambassador working with schools and colleges to breakdown stereotypes about STEM and showing students that its not just for certain types of people.

Experience: I undertook tutoring during sixth form, where I assisted in year 7 and 8 science lessons. I would help staff to articulate concepts to the students and spend time with them 1 on 1 if they were struggling. During my time at university I was also a mentor for 1st year Biomedical Science students, helping them with pastoral advice but also academic advice and guidance.
