I am a German native speaker with 35 years of experience. My lessons are interactive, covering all 4 skills. I strongly believe in the value of fun language games to ensure progress. My lessons are varied and engaging, and suitable for all levels of German knowledge.

Experience: I have been a foreign languages teacher for 35 years, both in Germany and in England. I teach German at an independent grammar school (GCSE and A level) and am very familiar with AQA and IGCSE. I have produced my own teaching materials and I also work as a native speaker proof-reader for Oxford University Press, checking German teaching materials for AQA. I also run photo card and role play practice sessions to help prepare students for oral exams and increase students` speaking confidence.

My daughter has had her lessons with Kerstin for the past couple of years, and we can say that Kerstin is a very responsible teacher. She sends us materials for each lesson every week and she is very keen to help her students with German exams by preparing for each lesson in advance and arranging extra lessons for her students if/when necessary. Kerstin makes sure that her students are prepared for their exams, esp. speaking exams. My daughter always did well in German speaking exams, thanks to the sessions with Kerstin. Kerstin is a very experienced and helpful tutor. I began my journey of learning German as a novice with a professional background in classical languages but no prior German. Kerstin helped me a lot in bringing my level up from beginner to one of much more confidence in speaking and near fluent reading. The classroom environment was always comfortable, friendly and reassuring. I would recommend Kerstin to both younger students and adult learners.
