I am a German native speaker with 35 years of experience. My lessons are interactive, covering all 4 skills. I strongly believe in the value of fun language games to ensure progress. My lessons are varied and engaging, and suitable for all levels of German knowledge.

Experience: I have been a foreign languages teacher for 35 years, both in Germany and in England. I teach German at an independent grammar school (GCSE and A level) and am very familiar with AQA and IGCSE. I have produced my own teaching materials and I also work as a native speaker proof-reader for Oxford University Press, checking German teaching materials for AQA. I also run photo card and role play practice sessions to help prepare students for oral exams and increase students` speaking confidence.

Kerstin is a truly magnificent teacher of German. Our son started lessons with her in March in preparation for his GCSEs. It was so gratifying to see his confidence and knowledge grow thanks to Kerstin`s expertise (she is a native speaker and experienced school teacher who teaches GSCE German and therefore knows the syllabus inside out) and to the warmth and charm with which the teaching was delivered. Our son was immediately put it at ease and found himself naturally immersed in German conversation. Kerstin also provided very helpful learning materials and marked written work between the lessons. She was totally dedicated to supporting our son`s learning and clearly took pride in seeing his progress. She truly cares about her pupils. In short, she is everything that a tutor could be, and we find it difficult to think there could be a better one. We could not recommend Kerstin more highly. We are so grateful for all that Kerstin has done not only to help our son prepare for his exams but also to enhance his appreciation of the German language. We are already have plans for involving Kerstin in the education of our younger children.

My daughter really benefits from the tutoring with Kerstin and as a result, her confidence with speaking german is growing. Kerstin prepares well for the lesson and the additional support material she has provided to my daughter has been very helpful. Based on our experience, I highly recommend her.
