Hi! I`m Katie and I`m currently completing a PhD in English at the University of Oxford, where I also teach. I have been tutoring English Language and Literature for almost eight years and have lots of experience with teaching students at both GCSE and A-Level stages.

Despite doing my own exams with the A-F system (I know, I`m getting old), I have lots of experience with the new 1-9 system and with a variety of exam boards. I have also taught for the IB English A course. I can adjust my teaching to fit your requirements, no matter the qualification, syllabus, or set texts.

I`m incredibly proud of the fact that all of my students have improved by at least two grades over the course of their tutoring with me, and many go on to get 8s and 9s, and offers at their chosen place of further or higher study. I`d love to help you achieve the same.

Experience: I was the dedicated English Literature tutor at the Bucksmore Education London Advanced Skills Summer School in 2018 and was also Graduate Teaching Assistant at a North London school last academic year. I also have experience coaching students through their university applications, personal statements, and further study proposals. I also have considerable experience teaching students with additional support requirements, including autistic students and those with ADHD or dyslexia.
