Information about Kirsty
I graduated in 2017 from the University of Leeds with a high 2:1 in BA English and History, achieving a first class in my literature dissertation and high marks throughout university. I have also completed my Graduate Diploma in Law. I am a friendly person with extensive experience in tutoring - 18 students over the past two years - and a genuine passion for my subjects. I love helping students gain confidence in themselves and their studies and guiding them towards achieving the best grades possible.
Availability: 6pm onwards on weekdays 8am-6pm on weekends
Willing to travel: 4 miles
Experience: In the past I have tutored a number of students between the ages of seven and seventeen in Maths, English literature, English language, History and Spanish. My GCSE students went on to achieve higher than their predicted grades and both felt more confidence in their own abilities after only a few sessions. Similarly, I tutored a younger student in both Maths and English who soon felt far more comfortable in the classroom with her spelling, grammar and maths. Comments from her teachers, which were written in the back of her exercise book weekly, consistently praised her improvement as the tutoring sessions continued.
Of the GCSE students I tutored last school year, many have exceeded their predicted grades, with one student achieving 9 in both English Literature and Language, having been predicted a 6 and 7 respectively. I have a 100% pass rate with all of my other GCSE pupils,
Both students that I tutored for the 11+ were accepted into their school of choice.
