Katie

My name is Katie, I`m a history graduate with a first class BA Hons and a Masters of Research with distinction. My master`s degree was funded through a scholarship with the Arts and Humanities Research Council. I intend to pursue a PhD in the upcoming year and to ultimately become a lecturer. I have lived in the northeast for almost 5 years, having originally lived in the east midlands. Along with history, my passions are cooking, painting, gardening, and collecting vinyl records.

Availability: I am available weekdays 8-5 and weekends 10-6.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: At age 22, I am yet to build up years of experience in tutoring. However, having recently left higher education, I am familiar with the requirements expected of university and A-Level students. Furthermore, I am familiar with what it`s like to be on the other side of the classroom. During my master`s degree, I gained lecture experience through organising and giving a talk at a humanities symposium held at the university. My teaching experience has also developed through extracurricular activities such as giving a lecture and Q&A session at the Tyneside Irish centre for International Women`s Day. Prior to university, I also lead activities at after-school groups in my hometown.
