I am a fluent French speaker currently working as a journalist at Channel 5 News.
I studied Law and French at Cardiff University which included a year studying French Law at L`Universite de Rennes I. While living in France I also worked as an English tutor and nanny to two French children.
I have a Master`s in Journalism from Cardiff University and after that I completed a 6 months internship at Reuters News Agency in Paris. I worked in a French team, interviewing a wide range of people on politics, social and innovation stories.

Experience: While at university I tutored French within a mentoring scheme at a school in the Welsh Valleys aimed at inspiring pre-GCSE kids to increase the uptake of modern languages at GCSE. I also tutored French to a primary school age girl I worked with as a nanny during the university breaks. I also volunteered for several years teaching English to asylum seekers and refugees as part of a charity project called Student Action For Refugees. My tutoring style is informal as I feel that the key to learning a language is to make it fun - I want to instill the same passion I have for the language in my students. I have a clear understanding of the French syllabus at GCSE and A Level and I am confident in improving students` grammar, accuracy and fluency.
