Lesson Information : I am a professional mathematics tutor with sixteen-plus years of teaching experience. I have an interactive whiteboard (IWB) set up in my home which can accommodate four students. My lessons are structured using a combination of teacher explanation, group discussions, worksheet exercises, rich maths investigations and exam papers. The group tutorial lasts for two hours. Students are asked to explain their solutions and results on the IWB. I make every effort to make mathematics enjoyable by facilitating an engaging environment, in which discussions and written activities take place. All printed material including notes, worksheets and exercise book are provided. I have taught students from a range of abilities and I have helped them to progress to higher standards. Most my students go on to read maths at advanced level.
