In my experience most tutors fail for two main reasons. Firstly, a lack of knowledge and teaching skill concerning their subject. Secondly, most tutors have not taken the student`s exams recently leading to a lack of understanding and ability to empathise with the student.

As a recent school graduate and University of Cambridge (Selwyn College) offer holder I think I think I am less prone to both these problems. I have taken my exams recently, and also have an excellent academic record (9A* ,3A) that evidences my commitment and mathematical skill. I have also studied and taught myself content for the intensive STEP maths exams, required for entry to Cambridge.

Availability: Available most weekdays, particularly evenings.

Willing to travel: 15 miles

Experience: Taught weekly maths classes to friends and family over the past two years, raising achievement by 2 levels of one particular student.
Successful academic record, including placing top of my secondary school in GCSE results.
