An experienced Head of Science with over 27 years teaching experience in Leeds and Bradford. I graduated in 1989 with a degree in Material Technology and undertook a Postgraduate Diploma in Engineering Information Technology. Prior to undertaking a teaching PGCE qualification I worked for Leeds City Council for several years.
I have two children, both currently at University and enjoy many pastimes including; Watching Leeds United, outdoor activities, keeping animals in which we have cats, dogs and horses.

Availability: As a recently retired teacher, my availability can be tailored around the students needs.

Experience: Full time teacher for 27 years. I began as a teacher of science at KS3/4 and A Level Chemistry in a large outstanding school in East Leeds, became KS4 Science Co-ordinator in 1999. I left to become Deputy Head of Science at another large comprehensive in Bradford in 2001. I moved to another Bradford school in 2006 to become Head of Science and took early retirement in 2021.
I have taught A Level Chemistry for 23 years until our school lost it`s sixth form due to the small unviable numbers. Our outcomes were excellent at KS4 and 5 with regular above average results in both key stages. My last ever A Level cohort left with an ALPS rating of one.
