Information about Lisa
Hi! I’m a fully qualified English teacher with over eleven years of experience teaching KS3, GCSE and A Level English - and I have been tutoring for almost as long! I also work as an examiner for a few of the major exam boards, so I know exactly what skills and techniques help students shine in their exams.
I absolutely love tutoring. Being able to work one-to-one with students and create lessons that fit their individual needs, interests and learning styles is such a joy. It’s wonderful to see students grow in confidence and start to really enjoy English — whether that’s through improving their essay writing, tackling tricky texts, or finding their own voice in creative work.
While I’ve taken some time away from tutoring platforms to focus on my young family, I’ve remained busy teaching in school and supporting students through private and online tutoring. I’m now keen to return to the wider online tutoring community and work with new students once more.
I particularly enjoy working with home-educated students and those who find it difficult to attend traditional school settings. I offer flexible, understanding support to help every student feel comfortable and confident in their learning.

Lisa is a fantastic tutor. Researches what is required for the grades for specific subject and board and then sets about teaching the student to obtain them. Very fun, very patient, very able to let the student learn in the way that best suits them. Leave her to it and take her advise. Brilliant teacher and lovely person to deal with.

Lisa has been tutoring my daughter for a few weeks now. She is very punctual, professional, reliable and efficient.
