I am a qualified English teacher and I currently work in an upper school where I teach pupils of a range of ages and abilities. As well as teaching both English and English Literature at GCSE Level, I also teach English Literature and Creative Writing at A Level.

I have had great success as a tutor - a noteable achievement being helping one student to progress from a grade `D` to an `A` at GCSE English Language.

I have also worked with primary students to improve their English skills before taking their SATS exams and I have experience in tutoring students siting Eleven plus exams who have then successfully gained entry into their desired schools.

Before completing my teaching qualification, I studied English and History at Stirling University, gaining a 2:1 (hons) degree.

Experience: I have experience of tutoring pupils of both primary and secondary school age. I am experienced in teaching pupils of varying ability and also have experience of working with pupils with special educational needs.

I have taught pupils taking exams with a range of exam boards including OCR,AQA, Edexcel and iGCSE.

I have tutored KS2 students in preparation for SATS and eleven plus exams.

I have also marked national GCSE exams as an examiner for the past fove years and so have a solid understanding of the skills pupils need to develop in order to achieve the best possible grades.
