Information about Sandra
I love listening, laughing and literature. I have been teaching for 42 years, most recently as a college Vice-Principal in North London, I am now looking forward to tutoring GCSE and A level students near my home in West Sussex.
An avid theatre goer and voracious reader, I hold an honours degree from Sussex University, together with an MA in Victorian Literature from the University of Liverpool and a PGCE from Reading University.
My teaching is bespoke; I listen to what the student understands and move forward from there, looking initially at the words on the page rather than seeking literary techniques. This approach demystifies the text, giving the student a level of confidence which manifests itself in the exam room and leads to good grades.
Availability: Most weekdays, Saturdays and Sunday mornings.
