Information about John

I am 29 years of age and I currently have 5 years experience teaching on a full-time basis across KS3 and KS4 both Business Studies and Mathematics. I am able to work at home or in the pupils’ home and I am happy to travel roughly 3 miles from my location. I am currently available most weekday evenings. I am very patient and enjoy helping others to learn. My pupils have fun while they study and are always proud of their progress. I try to encourage a genuine interest in any subject studied!

John is an absolute fantastic tutor if you have a child who is not confident in their own abilities. My son was really struggling, not because he is inherently bad at maths, but because he had no self confidence at all in his ability to do the questions and became incredibly flustered whenever he came across anything he could not do immediately. I am not totally sure how he did it, but John managed to convince him that it wasn`t actually all that bad, and he should just trust in himself, take a breath, use what he knew and have a go. We received his GCSE results today (foundation paper) and he was 20 marks above the grade 5 boundary which just did not look at all likely a year ago. Huge thanks to John for all his patience from a very happy household.

John has been an excellent tutor for my daughter. Patient, friendly and knowledgable. A good calm approach to teaching. With Johns tutoring she has improved from a grade 4 gsce to a grade 7 in just a few months.
