Information about Alice
I have taught GCSE and A level chemistry for 9 years (Sept 2014-Jul 2023) and have experience of tutoring pupils on a 1:1 basis both within a school and online, and of course teaching within the classroom environment. I’m able to adapt sessions to ensure that all students make progress and are able to achieve to their full potential.
I have experience of teaching a number of different exam boards both at GCSE and A-level. As a teacher I have unlimited access to exam questions, past papers and exam board specifications.
I’m available to tutor online using a variety of different teaching styles to suit the needs of each individual student. I have worked as an A-level examiner for the June 2022 Chemistry A-levels, giving me an invaluable insight into exam marking and technique.
With a little bit of patience and the right attitude I believe that all students are capable of achieving their desired grade in chemistry, and I pride myself on helping students to build on their resilience and reflective skills allowing them to become a more confident and independent learner.

Have been employed by OCR as an A-level examiner for the Chemistry A-levels June 2022.

My daughter is in Year 12 studying Chemistry. She has found it much more difficult than GCSEs and was especially struggling with the Math`s element. Alice has been a great help over the last 8 months and her results have improved significantly. Alice is very patient and diligent and has helped increase my daughter`s confidence and enjoyment in the subject.

Amazing tutor, she is excellent at explaining concepts and is always happy to send me extra questions on topics I am not confident on. She has helped me massively in Chemistry and I can`t thank her enough - my only regret is I didn`t start tutoring earlier.

Bharathi (Mrs) Alice has been an outstanding excellent tutor for my daughter who is doing her AQA A-level chemistry. She is very friendly and very knowledgeable and explains concepts that makes them easy to understand. She is very supportive and encouraging. My daughter really enjoys and looks forward to Alice’s lessons. Alice has also gone through many exam questions and gives clear explanations on how to answer them and what the examiners are looking for. She uses an iPad which she writes on so that my daughter can look at her working and also revisit at a later date. Alice has been very flexible with scheduled lessons and has even accommodated last minute requests for any changes. Alice is approachable, kind, encouraging, motivating and we are glad we found her. Would highly recommend Alice!
