I have graduated with a BA Honours in English Literature and have obtained my PGCE from the Institute of Education (UCL). I am an enthusiastic, reliable and motivated professional allowing students to fulfil their true potential.

My planning is tailored to suit the needs of individual learners thus resulting in students taking ownership and control of their learning. Studying needs to be an enjoyable experience and therefore it is important to incorporate a range of creative strategies for example, watching videos, taking quizzes, hot seating characters and writing diary entries.

English is a powerful medium of communication that is used throughout the world and my contribution within it, however small, may inspire the younger generation and allow them to refine their linguistic skills and communicate confidently and effectively in all walks of life. I believe that education is a partnership where teachers, pupils and parents have an equal role to play.

Experience: In my current role I plan and deliver lessons to students across KS3 and KS4. I work alongside the head of department to prepare engaging and stimulating scheme`s of work, prepare and set assessment tasks and attend moderation meetings. I have also supported the promotion of literacy across the school through introducing a book club for students as well as a whole school spelling bee.

I have also attended training sessions led by AQA in relation to how to award marks fairly, deciphering the mark scheme and comprehending the English Language syllabus.
