Information about Cecilia
I am a qualified teacher of Latin, Classical Civilisation and Italian. I hold a Master`s Degree in Second Language Learning and Teaching from the University of London. I am a qualified teacher with a PGCE in French and Italian from the University of Leicester and have been teaching in secondary schools since September 2002. I have taught Italian to GCSE and A level, Latin to GCSE and A level and Classical Civilisation. I regularly examine for OCR, in the summer of 2026 I have examined both the GCSE Latin verse and the A Level Latin verse papers.
Over the last few years, since starting to work part time at school, I have increased my role as a tutor and have supported students of all abilities in my three subjects, with very positive results. I believe the success of my tutoring is due to having strong subject knowledge which enables me to adapt my input in response to the individual student`s needs.
Availability: Available in the summer holidays for students wishing to ensure they start the new academic year with more confidence. Will also have availability during the new school term.
