Information about Katherine
I hold an undergraduate degree in English from Royal Holloway University of London, earning the Caroline Spurgeon Award for Excellence in Shakespeare in my final year. In 2020, I was awarded an MA in English from University of Exeter with distinction. I adore my subject and being able to share my knowledge and enthusiasm with others is a true joy. I believe that openness, kindness and patience are essential in assisting others with an academic subject. I understand that every tutee is unique in his/her initial abilities and that the best results derive from an atmosphere of collaboration, where tutor and tutee enter the wonderful world of English as a team. I teach all levels from primary school to A-Level. All I ask of my tutees is that they meet any moments of difficulty with self-kindness and courage. In time, you will succeed!
Availability: Weekends and weekdays in the evening. Online only.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I achieved an `A*` in GCSE English language, an `A` in GCSE English Literature and`A` in English Literature A-Level. During my second year at university, I set up a Critical Theory reading group to promote the communal engagement of some very interesting texts and for the purpose of providing a shared space for revision.
