Prashant

I am Dr. Prashant (popular as Dr. Prash among my pupils). I have been delivering high standard of (both online and face-to-face) tuitions in maths and sciences for more than 20 years. My expertise in maths and science runs within the wide range of students from KS3 right through to A-level.

I did PhD in chemistry from the University of Lille, France. I also worked as a Research Associate in Materials Science and Engineering Department in the University of Sheffield for over 4 years. As a researcher, I supervised various innovating projects and taught chemistry for undergraduate and postgraduate engineer students. During these years, I was still tutoring privately on a part time basis and I enjoyed sharing my own scientific experiences with my students. I also joined PGCE course at the University of Nottingham to keep abreast of changes and trends in education.

Over the years, I have worked with over several hundreds of different tutoring clients of various level and abilities on a face-to-face basis and Online in the UK, Singapore, USA, Hong Kong, China, UAE and France. I have dealt with students with the wide range of abilities which helped me to tailor my techniques in accordance to the pupil’s capacity. In addition to classical Science and Maths, I have also experience of preparing students for 11+ maths, SAT preparation, Entry into UK Independent Schools at 13+ and Entry into Independent Schools in the USA etc.

I am a highly committed, experienced and passionate educator who always strives to get the best from students. I believe that enjoyment and education should go hand-in-hand, and for that reason I always seek to develop a positive, enjoyable and motivated learning environment for the students. Whether in a classroom or one-to-one, my teaching style always focuses on building the student’s confidence in their own ability to achieve results.

I tutor students: KS3 right through to A-level for various exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, OCR and IB boards).

Availability: Weekdays - 09:00 - 21:00

Weekends, half-terms and bank holidays- 09:00 - 21:00

Willing to travel: 8 miles

Experience: More than 20 years of tutoring A-level chemistry, A-level biology, A-level Maths, GCSE both double and triple sciences (physics, chemistry, biology and Maths).
