Information about Suzie
As a qualified and experienced teacher and tutor, I am dedicated to helping students gain a sound understanding of Physics & now maths, both misunderstood! I am well organised and will building a positive rapport with all the students to makes lessons engaging and interactive.
I began teaching as found that there are too many misconceptions about Physics, it can be understood and you dont need to be like a computer to enjoy like it! Passionate about physics and dedicated to planning a scheme tailored to students in order to help them achieve their desired grades. Calm and professional I have an excellent track record with past students who have a genuine appreciation for all the help and time given. I try to find a way to relate to each unique student, to build confidence and to develop their knowledge and understanding.
After teaching Physics for many years a natural development was to teach maths, more so that teach biology for me. I enjoyed it just as much as physics as many of the same issues were there, misconceptions, disbelief that they can do maths! I found helping students gain in confidence with their maths and develop the ability to tackle the problems was very rewarding.
Main employment
Currently working as a tutor, I look after my mother and family but as my children grow I have more time available for tutoring.
Availability: I am available most days and evenings.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: Since starting a family, I stopped teaching in school but I have tutored many students in Physics to GCSE, for both dual award and separate science. I am also currently tutoring an A-level student, and maths at GCSE. I enjoy tutoring and work hard to find materials for each individual.
Before becoming a full time mother, I taught for many years in the independent sector and I have held teaching positions as Head of Physics and was promoted internally to Head of the Science Faculty before leaving full time teaching to start a family.

Suzie has been great working with out daughter to help get her up to speed with her Maths. She has been far more confident in her work and much more engaged in class. Suzie was easy to work with and flexible with scheduling. Highly recommend.
