Patrick

I am a research scientist from Australia, currently studying my PhD between Leiden University (Netherlands) and the University of Edinburgh. I am an eternal student, and I have always been a high achiever in my studies. A key part of my education lies in the variety of fields I have studied, and a focus on scientific communication. I hope to share my knowledge and experience with all the students that I teach.

I hold a Bachelor`s Degree in Biotechnology and Medical Research with First Class Honours specialising in Neurobiology and Immunology. Recently, I completed my Erasmus Mundus Joint Master`s Degree in Infectious Diseases and One Health, coordinated between France, Spain and the U.K. Together, this has given me a dedicated but broad background in the biological, chemical, and statistical sciences. I am also learning Spanish, Dutch and French concurrently. I also have a passion for linguistics, global health and the outdoors. My extracurricular pursuits of hiking, journalism, and cooking keep me grounded also.

Availability: I am currently studying my PhD, so I am busy from 9am - 5pm (GMT+1). I am usually available otherwise.

Experience: I have tutored, mentored and instructed many students across varying educational levels and disciplines. My passion for scientific communication helps me to simplify complex concepts and build upon simple ones, depending on the students` level and speed. My teaching style is adaptable to the students` understanding and aims, whilst maintaining a passion and driving force to inspire students to learn above and beyond their scope. I have been tutoring on the TutorHunt platform since December 2018 with great success, and also extended to the Preply platform.
