I am a professional mathematician and became involved in tutoring when my children started having problems with their GCSE Maths. Having been involved in training as well as school/university outreach and recruitment at work, I utilised these skills, together with my mathematical knowledge, to develop a tutor program to identify areas needing development, approaches to explaining concepts children found difficult and ways to improve exam/problem solving technique. I have successfully applied these skills to tutoring my own children and have been involved in the past as a School Governor and Vice Chairman at a local Primary School.

I am passionate about mathematics and feel any child can master the basics of the subject given the right amount of time, patience and focus.
