I can’t believe that your sessions with xxxxxx have finished now - these last few months have flown by.
Thank you so so much for the way you have supported xxxxxx. He has hugely benefited - both intellectually and emotionally. The fact he got a 4 in his language mock was extraordinary. Hopefully he can achieve a similar result when he gets his grades in August.

My Skills and Experience
During my career I have spent 14 years teaching in local FE and Sixth Form colleges as the Head of English for 3 colleges` teams of GCSE and A Level. I have also privately tutored full time for the last 7 years for year 8 through to year 13 children. As you can see from my feedback, I can support a range of abilities with great success.

In addition, I have been an examiner for AQA, EDUQAS and EDEXCEL iGCSE (GCSE & A Level), taught university undergraduate modules, trained teachers, inspired A Level creative writers, trained corporate staff new IT systems for a large well known retail company, and even worked in financial services managing stocks, shares and pension portfolios prior to teaching.

Moreover, I have supported a wide range of educational needs including autism, Aspergers, dyslexia, anxiety and depression, hearing and sight needs, and medical conditions. I currently teach a combination of school children, full time home schooled children and adults.
My first-hand experience of how difficult it is to have dyslexia and the strategies required to overcome the stress, anxiety, and frustrations it can bring as my dyslexic son took GCSE English several times before passing, has given me insight into how important respect and confidence building is for those that struggle with English. ( My son went on to achieve a 1st in his Games Technology at Bournemouth University so, I am obviously a very proud mother too).

Qualifications

I have a PGCE in Post Compulsory Education and Training and a BA Hons in English and History. A Levels in English Literature, Geography and Sociology.

I have seen a rapid growth in demand for my services. I am able to do face to face tuition, however if I am very booked up I may offer you my online tuition service.

A client has a choice of styles of tutoring to choose from which can be discussed during a trial session.My online classes combine the use of two technologies: Zoom and an interactive whiteboard software which records the session and the notes for you automatically emailed to you after the session. These can be played back whenever you wish or, notes printed off, or saved digitally for revision as well as to assist with weekly homework tasks. Not only is this an amazing learning tool, but it is also a method of ensuring your child is protected for safeguarding protocols as the sessions are recorded.
I am a DBS monitored tutor with professional insurance and references.
