As a teacher, my aim is to improve results by fostering a genuine sense of curiosity and engagement amongst my learners. With over ten years experience as a classroom teacher, I am able to improve performance and ensure that my students have excellent academic outcomes - irrespective of their current level. My experience as an examiner means I have an astute understanding of how students need to perform within an exam setting. Because of this, I’m able to teach excellent subject knowledge and exam skills (EdExcel, AQA, OCR) so that students are able to achieve their personal best. My teaching style focuses on improving knowledge and working on application - i.e., reviewing model answers, live marking and providing verbal / written knowledge. In addition to my classroom experience, I have worked as a private tutor for over five years and enjoy working in a one-to-one setting. My students would describe my teaching as engaging, fun, enabling, and ambitious. I am also experienced in working with students who have additional needs such as dyslexia and autism and I’m able to provide support for all different learners, whatever their learning style.
