I have worked in Education for the past 4 years. I trained teaching English in a secondary school, before moving to a special school, where I have been for the last 3 years.

Teaching and education is my passion, and working in special schools has made me adapt at planning sessions and learning to an individual student, and thinking creatively about how to overcome barriers to learning. I love working out how to engage students, and using their own interests to build their confidence and enthusiasm for a subject.

I specialise in supporting students with additional needs - including dyslexia, autism and speech, language and communication difficulties.

I have extensive training in different techniques of teaching English - from drama, pictures, music and sensory techniques to games, scaffolding and storytelling. I will find a way to make your child love the subject!

Availability: I am available weekdays and weekends.

First Class Degree in English from University of Sussex
Judged as an "Outstanding" qualified teacher following a SCITT course

2 years working as a Youth Worker

3 years working in a Special School (following the primary national curriculum)
