.Patient and effective. I have been tutoring face to face locally. Nationally and internationally by SKYPE in the fields of Accounting, Finance, Business and Economics since 1993. Initially a level. Later degree and professional exams. Mature students have included business people who want to know more about usually accounting, tax or business.
Degree level students often have a case study or assignment. Some need more understanding of a subject. They have some tuition and then return when they need more help. Several finance and accounting students have travelled 100 miles to Manchester to get the advantage of face to face. Some none native English speakers require their work being turned into business English.
With degree level economics I specialise in foundation level, and descri ptive economics . I often get involved in ideas for dissertations. I do not do algebra, equations or econometrics.
A level students are usually looking to pass or pass well. In both a level economics and business i am effective in improving marks in the longer essay questions .Some parents welcome in-depth practical business tuition. Exam technique and question answering practice is available. Many economics students find the first year confusing.
Professional students are usually following a course. They need help with exams and understanding. Some who have failed find a couple of sessions help them to pass.

Accounting I have done from beginners bookkeeping to masters degree.
Each student has a different need and I tailor the lessons to suit.
Some students buy on price. Cheapest per hour is often not cheap. You might spend more hours and learn less or nothing.

These days anybody calls themselves a tutor. Having passed exams does not mean you can pass a subject on.
