I am a Secondary School English Teacher and a former Second in Department of English / Head of KS3 (recently departed this role due to family commitments and now working part time).

My teaching has been rated OFSTED outstanding during routine and regular lesson observations.

I have been teaching for 11 years and I am currently teaching in a local comprehensive secondary school. I am a calm, reassuring and diplomatic person and I tailor sessions as much as possible to include the students interests to aid engagement.

My expertise lies in GCSE English Language and Literature, especially converting grade 3/4 students into 5+ grade students. I have had a great success rate in terms of results and I have experience working with all different types of learners including SEN and EAL. I am currently teaching AQA but I have experience in teaching most exam board specifications. Furthermore, I am an experienced AQA English Language examiner.


I am based in Knutsford and at present due to COVID all tutoring will be online. This is subject to change - as soon as restrictions ease, I would happily continue sessions face to face if in the local area. All tutoring would have to be completed at night time - Monday to Friday. I charge £25 for 50 minutes.
