I have worked as a Learning Mentor and am currently employed as an LSA. I am interested in teaching English to KS1, KS2, KS3 & KS4 (Foundation Level). I can also teach Maths, KS1, KS2. I am also able to teach Functional Skills English. I am friendly, patient and believe that every child should be given the opportunity to achieve his/her full potential. I particularly enjoy working with children who have additional needs and enjoy differentiating to help them access the work. Both younger and older children are comfortable working with me. I develop positive, professional working relationships with every young person who I work with. It is very satisfying to see a young person gaining in confidence and beginning the process of believing in themself. I am ideally looking to do online work, or will travel within a 3 mile radius. I have my own car. My Husband Andrew is one of your tutors. Whilst I am not a qualified Teacher, I have worked as an unqualified Teacher and have a BA in Education.

Experience: I have been a Learning Mentor, an Unqualified Teacher, teaching English/Media/Functional Skills (English), COPE Level 1 & 2, as well as having my own Year 11 tutor group. I have worked with KS2, KS3, KS4, as well as working in an SEN school. I specialise in dealing with children who are generally lower ability. I enjoy seeing their achievements and to see their confidence building. I am trained to deliver the `Speed Up` handwriting programme. I have mainly taught English but could teach Maths to KS1 & KS2. I would prefer lower level for this. I have successfully delivered phonics, Catch Up, reading and handwriting programmes. I have been working as a Learning Support Assistant for 9 years. Previously, I had worked in schools for 11 years.
