I`ve taught in primary schools for the last 16 years, mostly in Year 6. I am passionate about stimulating children`s natural curiosity and making their learning exciting and engaging. I have tutored for the last 5 years at home, at other people`s houses and online. As my experience in class is predominantly in Year 6, I feel well equipped to prepare children for entrance exams and SATs. I am positive, enthusiastic and keen to make your learning experience a fun one!
I have a 4 year old son who has just started school so I work on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and would be keen to tutor on a Monday and a Tuesday as well as at weekends.
I have run booster clubs, intervention groups and afterschool clubs including benchball club, cross country and choir. I am a keen musician myself and play the violin, viola and piano. I also enjoy walking, swimming and playing tennis.

Experience: I’ve been at Robin Hood Junior School in Sutton since September 2014 and am joint head of Year 6. I have been a Year 6 class teacher for 6 years there. I worked at Brookfield Primary school in Sutton before that for 11 years from an NQT. I was head of KS2 and on the Senior Management Team for 2 years from 2012-2014. I taught Year 6 from 2007 to 2014. Before that, I taught in Year 3 and Year 4. I have co-ordinated Humanities, Music and Computing. In 2016 we moved to Horsham. I have been working 2.5 days per week since I went back to work after my maternity leave. I have always worked full time before that. I have tutored at home for the last 5 years, more recently online as well.
