Hi! I’m currently a GCSE science and A-Level Biology (both year 12 and 13) teacher. I love my job and helping student’s achieve their goals. I feel that being an experienced teacher enables me to help students progress.

My sessions would solely focus on the material that is relevant to the student’s specification. Lessons would focus on the student’s individual weakness, first we would look at the theory and then practice application using relevant exam questions from the particular exam board. From experience, it is really evident that students often grasp concepts in lessons however their exam skills are lacking which is major downfall. I would give top tips and tricks to master how to answer tricky exam questions and also give insight into how marking works. This knowledge helps students to write answers that are worth marks and not just a list of facts. I am also flexible to adapt my lessons to suit the student.

I have taught both the AQA and Edexcel GCSE Science specification and have material for both of these. In my teaching role, I have marked many assessments and mocks which are moderated internally. Working within a school as a teacher means that I am constantly up to date with exam board changes.
