I am an A grade student studying Mathematics at Cardiff University (Final Year). I am a diligent, hardworking and enthusiastic individual, which is portrayed through my excellent achievements so far. I am a collaborative team player focused on developing and maintaining effective relationships with both peers and colleagues whilst also able to work independently using my own initiative. I have efficient time management and self-motivation skills as demonstrated throughout my studies and teaching practice. I am enthusiastic about taking my first steps to becoming a teacher of the future, applying all of the teachers specialist skills, such as patience and explanation, into a realistic real-world situation.

; Teaching Year 7 work to higher ability Year 6 pupils.
; Planning and creating resources for the pupils to use during the lessons. Adopted a visual style of learning through methods such as colour coding and mini whiteboards.

; All pupils reported that they felt their mathematical ability had improved following these lessons and had completed work that they would not normally have covered in their usual lessons.

Responsibilities:
; Team working with the class teacher was vital in helping the pupils develop and reach their full potential.
; The well-being of the children and supporting them with problems faced in a classroom environment.
; Every afternoon, my main task was to support pupils with challenging behaviors, ensuring they understood and stayed on task.

October 2015 July 2016 Mathematics Mentoring (teaching pupils with low abilities in mathematics to improve their numeracy skills and confidence)
Responsibilities:
; I proactively offered the pupils help (within and outside of lesson time).
; I marked pupils work to see whether they were succeeding and provided feedback to help them with their progression.
Achievements:
; All pupils mathematical abilities improved significantly. As evident by tests results; one Year 8 pupil, improved their mark on their annual mathematics assessment by 47%.
