I am a qualified Secondary English Teacher. I have experience teaching English as a second language and drama. I have taught students in the UK and internationally and have over three years of teaching experience.

I specialise in literature, oracy and theatre but have subject knowledge in humanities in general as well as philosophy and religious studies. I have taught writing courses in South Korea so am comfortable working with students with English as a second language or just to support through secondary school in general to a high level. I have excellent subject knowledge and a unique perspective.

I have experience working with students with ADHD, autism and behavioural difficulties.

I am fun and lively and hope to inspire passion in the subjects I teach. I don`t drive so online lessons are preferable.

Availability: I currently have full availability for online tutoring.

Experience: I have a PGCE and QTS from the University of Manchester and a level 5 TEFL qualification.

I have taught and helped create a theatre IB syllabus in South Korea, taught international summer school students and written and delivered various schemes of work.

I have supported students with English as a second language in Manchester and completed supply work as well. I taught for a year at a secondary school in Manchester and was able to develop strong relationships with students and prove progression and improvement. I am knowledgable on various English GCSE curriculums and able to support students at this level. I am very passionate about Shakespeare and have taught this in the UK and internationally.

My undergraduate degree was in philosophy and I did complete teaching placements in schools in the South East in 2005 and I worked at a school for street children in Ghana in 2003. I completed English and drama teacher training at the University of Cambridge.

I have lots of voluntuntary experience and so i can be compassionate and relatable. For many years I worked managing hospitality businesses so I have a combination of skills enabling me to be fair, calm and fun.
