I am a qualified science teacher who has supported students through GCSEs and A-levels since 1995.

Before leaving teaching I was Head of Physics at a large comprehensive school near Bristol which consistently produced top GCSE and A level results in the local authority area.

I am a positive and engaging teacher who has the experience to spot exactly where and why you need support, and to apply the most effective techniques to boost your understanding, capabilities and confidence in science at GCSE, and Physics at A-level.

I can make a difference to your performance whether you need:-
- a `back to basics` re-teaching of the subject content,
- to target certain topics that you are struggling to master,
- to develop your exam technique and optimise your marks,
- or to achieve a specific grade you need for future A-level or university choices.

Experience: I have taught Physics A-level, and Physics, Chemistry and Biology GCSE in secondary schools to students across the ability range for years. I have been successful helping students to get the best possible grades, no matter what target or level they have set themselves.

I have been Head of Physics at a high performing school, working with students of all abilities. I have also been a school `Learning Co-ordinator`, responsible for monitoring and promoting the performance of GCSE students across the school in the years leading up their exams. A key part of this role was identifying the correct study skills to suit each student`s needs.

I have written Physics A-level and GCSE content for an award-winning, online revision website that support millions of students.

My degree was in Mechanical Engineering - B.Eng Hons (First) from the University of Nottingham - and before teaching I have worked designing components for aircraft engines.
