I am a 5th year medical student currently studying a Masters of Research at Newcastle University. I have experience working with children of all ages and also a strong background in science and maths.

I enjoy cycling, travel and meeting new people. Last summer I cycled solo 1100 miles from Lands End to John O’Groats to raise money and awareness for the medical organisation MSF. I have also travelled solo across Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, Australia and New Zealand for 6 months and gained a wealth of life experience, grew in maturity and confidence and gained an understanding and appreciation of many different cultures.

Availability: Sunday mornings (10am) would be my preference, but I should be available most weekday evenings as well.

Experience: I am highly motivated, reliable and have experience teaching children of all ages.

At sixth form I was part of a `buddy` system for children with learning difficulties and taught one-to-one English and Maths.

During summer 2013 I volunteered at a school in rural Cambodia, teaching health promotion to children aged 8 to 18 where I developed interpersonal communication skills and learnt to plan and deliver appropriate and challenging lessons.

Furthermore, I have also given formal guidance regarding the UCAS application to sixth form students who might be thinking of a career in medicine.

I have been tutoring GCSE students through tutor hunt for 2 years alongside my studies at Newcastle University and have thoroughly enjoyed the helping students achieve the grades they are aiming for.

My sessiоns are tailored to the individual need of the student. I fоcus оn the cоre cоntent оf the subjects and then аpply this knоwledge tо prаctice exаmples аnd exаm questiоns. If аpplicаble I will аssign аdditiоnаl wоrk sheets аnd reаding mаteriаl to allow the student to review subject matter.
