I am an experienced, student-led tutor with a kind, patient and encouraging approach to teaching. I work flexibly to accommodate each student`s individual learning style using a variety of up to date resource materials to make lessons fun and interesting. I have proven success with tutoring pupils to examination standard and with increasing confidence and fluency of all students.
Availability: I fit students in around their schedules as much as possible - I usually start lessons at 9 in the morning but can do earlier if students need a lesson before work. I`m happy to finish at 8pm in the evenings in order to accommodate student`s requirements.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: BA (Hons.) graduate in French and History of Art, freelance French tutor since 1995 with experience teaching French at all levels;
With over 25 years` tutoring experience, I have helped students pass GCSEs and A levels, I have refreshed and updated `school` French with adults of all ages and abilities and I have perfected my `virtual` teaching skills, mastering the use of Zoom software.

I have been having french lessons with Lucy for a short while and she is the most calm and patient tutor! Lucy is encouraging and breaks the lessons down into easily understood sections. I always come away feeling positive and enthusiastic to learn more. Highly recommended.

Lucy is great, I recommend her teaching highly. We are only beginners and she is patient and full of appraisal to keep us interested. She is good at keeping things going through the session to make the most of the time available.
