Information about Shah
I do not have a suit and a tie on in my profile picture as I don`t have the need to project an image to appeal to the human psychology that I am successful. Instead, I give you the history of m teaching profession thus far. I have been in the teaching profession for 11 years and have tutored for a number of years. I am well versed in the National curriculum and understand the priorities of learning. I`ve taught in London schools in my career and this means I`ve had plenty of experiences of working with a range of children in age and ability. I have tutored children for their GCSE & iGCSE English as well as students in KS3. I have also taught Year 6 and prepared them for their SATs. Having had come to London in a young age, I had difficulty with the English language. This is perhaps why I have developed an expertise in the subject and why I am so passionate about teaching the subtleties and nuances of the English language. I have now successfully taught and tutored more than two hundred students.
The advantage of tutoring over teaching in classrooms is simply the time and focus given on a child. I work with my student at their pace to help them to reach their potential. Developing a love and enjoyment for the subjects are also important in how motivated my students are, so I make sure each of my lessons are both challenging and fun. Undoubtedly, this has had a positive impact in my student`s results and I believe my style of teaching is what helps me to connect with the learner. I have a fantastic ability to gauge my student`s strength and build on it and with this confidence we work on our areas of development.
I have successfully completed my Post Graduate Diploma in Education and Leadership from The Open University with a total of 120 credits. My greatest achievement in my career to date is leading Phonics in my school before and during the CVID-19 crisis. I am a passionate teacher who enjoys working within a team to share my pedagogical strengths and learn from the experience of others. I thrive off seeing children progress and reach their highest level of attainment.
