KS3 Science, GCSE and A-Level Biology Tutor

I am currently a KS3 science and KS4/KS5 biology teacher at a school in south London. Initially, my interest in biology was sparked by my own teachers at school, whose passion and enthusiasm brought the subject to life. As a teacher, I pride myself on my ability to engage students with the fascinating world of biology, which in turn allows them to learn best. Being a teacher also means I have access to significant amounts of learning resources that I can utilise to ensure success, as well as having tried and tested activities to help students understand challenging topics.

Whilst having a love for biology is something that I aim for all my students to develop, I also understand that success in biology is also measured on performance in public examinations. I have an in depth knowledge of the specifications, question papers and mark schemes for GCSE/A-Level Biology that I use alongside my teaching to ensure that students are familiar with the types of exam questions that come up and how best to answer them. This familiarity and understanding is a common barrier to success in students and I have a number of methods to help with this.
