I have been teaching in secondary schools for the last 17 years and have been Head of Economics and lead teacher of economics in a range of top performing private and comprehensive schools. As such, I have developed a large stock of resources and techniques with which to engage students from the ages of 14-18 online.

I have examined for AQA, Edexcel and OCR throughout my time as a teacher. Examining experience is vital for providing students with targeted feedback and guidance as to where to pick up the marks. I also have a wealth of experience teaching A level Economics in a school classroom setting. As such, I have taught a huge breadth of students with wide ranging abilities and have a proven record of improving grades and inspiring excellence for young students of economics. For weaker students I focus on scaffolding written answers with a focus on remembering and understanding the key economic terms. For higher ability students I focus on how to weave economic concepts together to form evaluation and concluding paragraphs for essays.

I can provide guidance for tackling specific topics, essays, written analysis, exam preparation and revision. I can also provide support with UCAS personal statements.

I have an MSC in Economic History from the London School of Economics (2009) and a BSC in Economics and Marketing from Bristol 2:1 in 2003. I also hold a PGCE teaching qualification from the Institute of Education from 2005.
