I am 34 years old and have been teaching Secondary English for 9 years. I graduated from Edge Hill University in 2008 with a degree in English. After some admin work I completed my PGCE in Secondary English in 2012.
I have experience teaching secondary pupils and tutoring primary, secondary and a-level pupils. I always get the best out of my learners and work with both learners and parents to encourage the best possible grades.
I love my subject and enjoy inspiring young people to succeed. I became a teacher to be able to help students with key skills and to encourage a love of reading and literacy.
Availability: Afternoon and early evening 3.30pm - 8pm
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I am a qualified DBS/CRB checked Secondary English teacher. I have been teaching for 9 years and have covered the 3 main exam boards at GCSE, AQA, WJEC and EDEXCEL.
I have experience tutoring A-Level and Primary along with GCSE level students. I have been tutoring regularly for the past 6 years.

Emma is a great teacher who explains work in detail. She is kind and is punctual when coming to teach my child. Emma is very organised and is an amazing person.

Emma is a very good, kind and calm tutor. She explains everything that you want to know about. She also goes over the same thing with you if you are not very sure. She is also very easy to talk to and she doesn`t make you feel stupid if you don`t know something, especially as English is my second language.
I WOULD RECOMMEND HER TO ANYBODY!

Emma is a very friendly and approachable tutor who my daughter really looks forward to seeing each week. She is well prepared and feedbacks each week to myself. My daughter is home educated and Emma leaves additional work for her each week. I would whole heartedly recommend Emma to anyone looking for a tutor.
