Qualified English teacher and ex-Head of Year with 7+ years experience in secondary schools in Nottingham, Manchester & Salford.

I am an enthusiastic and patient tutor who builds confidence in students to achieve their potential in a safe, supportive environment. I work with students of all abilities, including supporting students with dyslexia and other learning needs. I am experienced in the AQA exam board, with knowledge of Edexcel.

If you want to improve your confidence with reading, spelling and grammar, or increase your assessment marks to improve your grades, I am able to tailor-make sessions to support you.

Tuition lessons will be tailored to individual needs and areas to develop. Services include:
- Exam preparation and techniques
- Analysis of texts and themes
- Modelling
- Independent writing with feedback
- Homework set where appropriate
- Revision

Prior to my secondary career, I worked as an in-school tutor across Greater Manchester with the Tutor Trust.

Experience: 7 years` experience as an English teacher in secondary school, including 2 years` experience as Head of Year 8-9.

2 years` experience providing small group English intervention in secondary schools with the Tutor Trust.
