Judy

I find it a joy to teach students the subject I am really passionate about: Biology. And to teach as well the core skill for so many other subjects: Mathematics.
I have a Master degree in Biology, did research projects on antelopes and monkeys. I am a mother of 3 children and love gardening.

BIOLOGY
My main aim is for the students to get a good grade in their exams and secondly to enjoy the subject taught.

As most students learn best by seeing and doing things, my Biology lesson will include a practical which can be an experiment, a game, making a 3D model, a poster, etc. This will make the lesson interactive, the material easier to learn and get the student really engaged in the subject.

With GCSE students I will also look into exam & revision techniques and practice many exam questions.

MATHEMATICS
I believe that you have to master first the basics and from here you can start to build more layers with only moving to a higher level when the student masters the layer below. For some mastering one level is done quickly others take more time but everybody can learn maths.
I will test new students on mathematics basics. If needed we will spend revising until the student masters the basics and then we can move to the next level.

Availability: I am available from 9 to 3 during weekdays at my home. Or evenings at students home 6-7pm,

Experience: I have been tutoring home schooled students (I)GCSE biology and Mathematics since May 2018.
Recently I also taught in Plant Biology to Biodynamic agriculture students at Emerson College Forest Row.
